β 200g Hilsa Roe (Ilish Macher Dim) β 2 tbsp Mustard Seeds (soaked & ground into a paste) β 2 tbsp Poppy Seeds (soaked & ground into a paste) β Β½ cup Grated Coconut β 2-3 Green Chilies (finely chopped) β 1 tbsp Mustard Oil β Β½ tsp Turmeric Powder β Β½ tsp Red Chili Powder (optional) β Salt to taste
πΉ Gently heat the banana leaves over an open flame for a few seconds until they become soft and pliable. πΉ Brush each leaf with mustard oil to prevent sticking.
2οΈβ£ Prepare the Hilsa Roe Mixture
πΉ In a bowl, mix the hilsa roe with mustard paste, poppy seed paste, grated coconut, green chilies, mustard oil, turmeric, chili powder, and salt. πΉ Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes for deeper flavors.

πΉ Take a banana leaf, place a portion of the marinated roe in the center. πΉ Fold the leaf carefully into a packet and secure it with a thread or toothpick.
